Steps to becoming a GMB member:

 

1. Get On Our Mailing List
Join our mailing list to get details on meeting and events!

 

2. Pay $25 Membership Fee to Treasurer
Pay at a meeting, event, or contact the treasurer to arrange a payment method. This fee includes a club shirt to be provided in the late fall or early spring semester!

 

3. Become a Member Through InvolveUA
CollegiateLink is the system that ASUA has for all University of Arizona students to keep track of our members and points. You simply sign in using your NetID here , then request to join Global Medical Brigades - Undergraduate.

 

4. Sign Up for a Brigade (not necessary to be a member)

• Reserving Your Seat

  • We have a limited number of seats on each brigade and it is a first come-first serve basis. You will be able to sign up for a brigade on a date/ time TBA. Within the week, you will receive an email confirming which brigade you will be placed on. 

• Registering through Global Brigades 

  • Go to the link in your confirmation email that matches with your brigade (Ghana, Panama, Honduras, Nicaragua) and select the red volunteer button.

  • Fill out all the questions that are asked and please take your time with these, especially the food restrictions section! If you do not yet have your passport information, leave that empty because you can come back to it later.

• Finalizing Commitment With a Deposit

  • Go to the donation website for the country's respective website. 

  • Click the red “Donate'

  • Select 'Make a donation on behalf of a fundraiser'*

  • Select your own name from the dropdown menu

• Sign Up For/ Attend Events

  • Events can be found here!

 

*Remember, these payments are tax deductible. Input the email address for the person that needs the tax deduction on the payment page. Save the email for tax deduction purposes - check your spam folder if it does not appear in your inbox within 24 hours. We recommend using e-check so that there is no service fee.
